Assessing the New Comprehensive Healthcare System in Portsaid


The new comprehensive health insurance law and its implementation regulations are the product of continuous work held by experts, government actors and officials from the civil society. Numerous discussion sessions took place, aimed at designing a comprehensive insurance system that achieves availability, accessibility, acceptability and quality of services provided without discrimination, regardless of income level.

We are offering a progress assessment for the steps to implement this law, which which the government has initiated, stemming from our belief in the important role of the civil society in monitoring and evaluation. This is primarily intended to present a scientific and societal perspective on the implementation challenges, how to overcome them, and put forward clear proposals that can ensure that this law achieves its objectives.
